How to find free iPhone apps

Posted on March 25, 2010

If you are like me, then you are always on the lookout for some free applications for the iPhone. If you use iTunes then you already know that you can view the Top 100 Free Apps for the iPhone. But, this doesn't help you find the good ones that originally cost money and are now free for a limited time. The best place to find free apps for the iphone is the AppShopper (appshopper.com). You can sort the lists by apps that have dropped in price or are now 100% free. It is worth coming back here every day or two to find some good apps. There are reviews and also screenshots. Another way to find free iPhone apps is at freeappalert.com and twitter.com/148apps_nowfree.

If you have any tips on how to find free apps for the iPhone then please leave them in the comments.

  1. Thanks. I recently bought an iphone from True. This is a useful website for free apps. I will keep an eye on it. Hope you will post more.

  2. I would be interested to hear comments on using internet radio apps such as last.fm or musicovery on iPhone/iTouch in Thailand. Any view yourself or other viewers?
