Free Skype Calls on 3G/Edge

Skype recently updated its iPhone application to allow you to make Skype to Skype calls over 3G. Previously we could only do that using WiFi. When I first upgraded the Skype app a message said it was free only until August 2010. But when I clicked on the link for more information, the new page said free until the end of the year. This is their announcement:

What does the “free Skype trial” mean?

You can now make and receive Skype-to-Skype calls and call phones over 3G from your iPhone. To get you started, we’re offering you free Skype-to-Skype calls over 3G until the end of 2010. After that there’ll be a small monthly fee. Remember, you can always make free Skype-to-Skype calls from a WiFi hotspot.
